Crab a Ride offers a safe, affordable and convenient carpool service in Africa. It integrates into the existing, social media centred, carpooling ecosystem, offering a WhatsApp-based platform that uses AI to connect verified drivers and passengers for long-distance travel. Considering Africa's growing population reliance on unsafe, informal transport, the need is clear. With over 250 million empty seats across Africa, and 46 million in South Africa alone, we have the opportunity to utilise existing capital to improve the lives of millions while mitigating the impact of climate change.
