Our story begins in early 80s when our founder Bharat Singh Rathore setup few looms in Barmer, Rajasthan to improve the life of local artisans. In 1984 Bharat Singh Rathore gave up a teaching job in Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and founded CRAFTEX INDIA in Mirzapur, India alongwith his wife Santosh Rathore to manufacture quality and innovation in hand woven flat-weave rugs / dhurries.
