The Crafty Elk story begins with the transpacific migration of fledgling chemist, Greg Gilliland, from the maple forests of Canada to a dimly lit garage in a rented shack on the sandy shores of the Australian Gold Coast. It was 2009, and there was something inspiring about the atmosphere – inhaling the sea breeze, the good music, the great mates, and hand crafted alcohol down under.
After long days of surfing and catching a wave, mates would gather at huts on the beach and mix fresh pressed juices and vodka into pineapples, mangos, and exotic fruits. There was something captivating about sitting on the beach at sun down, soaking up the majestic view of the ocean, and capturing the taste and aroma of nature’s gifts all around you.
