Cranfield Water

The Water theme at Cranfield has built a strong reputation for its research on the science, engineering and management of water resources. Our award-winning research and innovation activities are making our water resources and services more resilient and sustainable. Researchers working as part of the theme come with wide ranging expertise, from water and wastewater treatment, water for agriculture, water and sanitation, water governance and catchment management. The theme is home to two centres of excellence – Cranfield Water Science Institute and Centre for Water, Environment and Development. Apart from ground-breaking research, the theme also offers taught and research postgraduate degrees as well as short courses to suit the needs of those at various levels of practice.
