The Dorra Group of Companies is a large Egyptian private sector group that started operations in the early forties as Construction Company. The group that started initially business is Construction and Reconstruction Engineering Company – CRC, which established in 1943. It has rapidly acquired a remarkable standing among the major contracting companies in Egypt. In 1961 ,it was nationalized. In 1964, it was renamed to become known as Al-Gomhoriya Public Contracting Co. (Mohammed Hassan Dorra). In 1971, The Construction and Reconstruction Company was founded and it became a joint stock company starting from 1986 to continue its achievement and success in the Egyptian Contracting field according to the state of art of the modern technology in the world. The company is proud of its expertise as demonstrated by many major projects carried out in collaboration with major International Contracting companies such as the British Laing International Co. And Constain International Ltd., the American Harpers and Howards Co. And the Japanese Dia Nepon. Thus, CRC has been able to accomplish its major projects most efficiently. CRC has contributed to the advancement of engineering by development and implementation of new and innovative designs for construction of all forms of civil, structural and building projects. CRC has recently added Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering Services, the manufacture of high technology construction materials to its range of activities, and Development. CRC has successfully completed more than 983 projects in Egypt & Gulf area based on construction skills and engineering expertise developed since the Company was established. CRC is renowned for its skills in constructions and engineering with a proven record for completing work to the highest standard quality, the Group has the necessary technical know-how and experience required to undertake projects any-where in the Arab world.
