Create North

Create North provides enterprise support for cultural and heritage practitioners and organisations. Launched almost 20 years ago, Create North is now one of the North East’s longest established companies working to animate and support creative people to start and grow businesses. We have delivered multiple enterprise projects at various scales to the creative sector from the Tweed to the Tees, and over the last 3 years alone have supported c.1000 creative practitioners and creative organisations to establish themselves and grow. Our work has principally been delivered through programmes of animation events, workshops, talks, exhibitions, mentoring, networking events and performances. Our work is designed to sit within the creative and cultural strategies being developed at national, regional, and sub-regional level and to complement the work of those organisations using creativity as a means through which to facilitate cultural regeneration.
