The goal of Creation4Cessation is to promote tobacco cessation through art among high school students. Current methods of teaching adolescents about the dangers of vaping are curriculum/lecture based, but Creation4Cessation will focus on spreading awareness in an artistic way. Students submit art pieces that relate to quitting vaping, peer pressure, or the struggles of quitting, which will be shown at an art exhibition/competition and will be for sale. Any remaining art pieces will be placed in different local buisnesses and restaurants to continue spreading the message. The fundraising efforts and the money collected from selling the art will go towards a stipend for students participating in the competition, and towards the American Cancer Society.
