Creative Briefs was established in 2015 with the purpose of working with young people who learn differently and whose potential is not always realised through mainstream education. This includes young people with specific learning difficulties (SpLd's), primarily those with dyslexia.
We deliver design-based, alternative education work, both in and outside of schools. Our sessions are specifically developed to help young people who 'learn differently' reach their full potential. We aim to:
•Reduce their education attainment gap; helping children achieve Arts Award qualifications.
•Combat proven long-term effects of unsupported SpLds; which are low confidence, exclusion from education, and even eventual unemployment, crime, and prison.
•Raise aspirations; opening children's eyes to opportunities and careers, and building direct contact with industry professionals, giving them potential springboards to future careers and employment.
