Creekside Oak Estates is in Alhambra Valley, an area of fine homes and vineyards between Lafayette and Martinez, California. Creekside Oaks is a gated community which consists of 7 vacant parcels -- the only collection of suburban private estate properties available in Contra Costa County. The home sites on the parcels are surrounded by groves of stately native trees -- not other houses. The parcels vary in size from 1 acre to 5 acres. A beautiful, perennial creek runs through the community, and there are locations for vineyards on four of the parcels.
Though in the country, Creekside Oaks is close-in. It is less than 5 minutes via Alhambra Valley Road to shopping, dining, freeway access and both the Martinez and the Lafayette city limits. City utilities are also available: water, sewer and cable. The nearby John Swett School has small class sizes and API scores within 3% of the Lafayette Schools.
There are a selection of home designs already available for each parcel. These are aesthetically pleasing green homes -- with healthy indoor air, low operating costs, and higher resale values. Or you may engage your own architect to build a home of your own design.
The Subdivision Process
Creekside Oak Estates was created from an undeveloped 17-acre parcel in Alhambra Valley. It was a $5 million civil engineering project which involved working with the County of Contra Costa to design and obtain approval of a final map -- the document which allows the subdivision process to take place. Additional approvals or permits were obtained from a myriad number of federal, state, regional, county and city agencies.
Construction
Grading, improvement and utility plans were developed for contractors to follow in constructing a bridge, roads, water mains, sewer mains and joint trench facilities (electrical, telephone, cable and gas). The result was the parcels (described above) which are now available for sale or the construction of homes.
