“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin Ever since its inception five years ago, the Criminal Justice Practicum Cell (CJPC) has been one of the most prestigious committees of UILS, which aims at providing the young learners an experiential opportunity, helping them comprehend the complexity of the criminal justice system. It acts as a crucial first step into the real world that aids students in developing their skills and honing their career goals. The objective of the CJPC is to broaden students' understanding of the criminal justice system. It aims to supplement regular classroom instruction with real-world internship experience while advancing students' professional knowledge. CJPC has continued to provide students with exciting opportunities with the aim of acquainting them with the best of practical knowledge and hands-on experience. Events like Jail Visits, Police Station Visits, Recreation of Crime Scenes, Judgement and Legislation Writing Competitions etc. have always been eagerly anticipated by each student. Each year, the CJPC builds on its legacy by raising the bar even higher by utilising the right intention, a clear goal, and a dedicated team.
