Cringe believes in radical compassion. Our mission is to replace the often punitive mechanisms of shame with humility, intellectual exploration and honest accountability.
We want to open a space that both allows us to confront our self-consciousness, alienation, and awkwardness, while also intellectually engaging with our shortcomings without judgement or shame. In addition to looking into the uncomfortable parts of the human experience, we also want to reflect on what impact shame has on society as a whole.
