Critically Acclaimed is a lifestyle inspired by the crossroads in D.I.Y culture. Deep routed in the D.I.Y ethic and originating from a project to hijack a "billboard" phrase, the brand was formally established in 2010 with a small collection of hand screen printed t-shirts. Subconsciously the name aims to take all power away from major advertisers and provide substance to a phrase that has been over saturated throughout the last decades. Working hard over the following years Critically Acclaimed set to produce only the highest quality and show that you can avoid throw away high street fashion. Drawing inspiration and influence from creative outlets such as punk, hardcore, rap and more, the brand has grown into a symbol of quality over quantity in concept and creation. The brand aesthetic over these years also moved into an accessible punk / industrialised image. Continuously developing. The process of progress was never a short one.
