Cross Fraser Partnership (CFP) is a joint venture comprised of: Design Builders • Bouygues Construction Canada • Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas Canada • Pomerleau BC CFP is responsible for delivering the Fraser River Tunnel Project, a new, eight-lane immersed tube tunnel that will replace the existing George Massey Tunnel on Highway 99. The new tunnel will have three vehicle lanes and a dedicated transit lane in each direction, along with a separated active transportation corridor for cyclists and pedestrians. In addition to the tunnel, CFP’s scope includes a new Deas Slough bridge to support the increased lane capacity, widening the highway between Blundell Road in Richmond and Highway 17 in Delta, improved connections to interchanges, and constructing a tunnel ventilation building equipped with fans, ductwork, and control systems to ensure safe and comfortable air quality for all tunnel users. Once complete, these improvements will alleviate congestion, improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and expand transit and cycling options, ultimately strengthening connectivity across Metro Vancouver.
