Crowded Places - Security Advisory Group

New Zealand’s Crowded Places Strategy requires both government and non-government agencies and organisations to protect crowded places from attack. This strategy rests on four key elements: - Building stronger private and public partnerships - Better sharing of information and guidance - Implementing effective protective security and - Improving response and increasing resilience The Crowded Places Security Advisory Group (CPSAG) comprises many of the leading contributors to best practice in the provision of security services in New Zealand. Our aim is to provide consistent and consolidated advice to all those concerned as well as actively supporting the Crowded Places Business Advisory Group (CPBAG) and the Crowded Places Community Advisory Group(CPCAG). Additionally, to providing expertise in security related matters, we focus on identifying issues with the security sector that can support the NZ Crowded Places Strategy; advise on relevant standards, guidelines, and best practice to be used by organisations operating in the Crowded Places environment; advise on criteria for assessing competence, training needs and education of security professionals working in this field and importantly, working together to Improve relationships.
