CrowdWine is the first crowdfunding platform dedicated to the world of Italian wine. An idea of Milano Wine Week, Originalitalia.it and Eppela, it supports small and medium Italian wineries in structural and financial difficulty, due to the Covid-19 emergency.
Small and medium wineries in Italy do not have a strong presence in HoReCa distribution channels, so it's now more difficult for them to reach their audience, and this causes a contraction of financial resources necessary to meet current production needs.
CrowdWine offers wineries a new temporary channel for:
- the direct sale of wine that is currently already on the market;
- the pre-sale of bottles that are still in production, deriving from the harvest in progress or stored in an aging cellar, which will be ready by 2021.
By participating in the CrowdWine campaign, wine lovers worldwide can show their support for Italian wine producers, discover new, high quality products, obtain early access to upcoming batches, learn more about the production process and gain direct access to some of Italy's best small and medium-sized wineries, all while helping them to survive and thrive through these difficult times.
