Crowdy connects people through their shared experiences. Its mobile application provides a platform for real-time, location-based social interaction. Whether you’re at a sporting event, music festival, night club or college dorm party, it’s more fun to participate with Crowdy. Users are able to share and interact with the people around them - publicly, on the application’s live feed and privately, through direct messages. For more intimate experiences, Crowdy lets users create invitation-only networks through their contact lists. Once an event ends, Crowdy archives everyone’s photos so people can sift, save, share and relive their experiences.
Crowdy takes the “check-in” further and fills a void left by existing social networks: the ability to easily participate within a network of people in the same place at the same time. Crowdy connects acquaintances and new friends alike, creating real-time social communities that otherwise wouldn’t exist.
Founded in September 2013, Crowdy is currently in private beta. It will launch publicly in Spring 2014 on the App Store.
