Cross River Partnership for Peace and Security

The Cross River Partnership for Peace and Security(CRPPS) is the premiere non government and not-for-profit organization with the core mandate to create awareness, educate, research, and use the instrumentalities of dialogue and consultation as well as raise policy recommendations on peace and security in Cross River State in particular and Nigeria in general. CRPPS was established in 2017 out of the necessity to stem the tidal wave of communal clashes, violent crimes and cultism in Cross River State. It is a think-tank organization with the task of taking up the intellectual challenge of finding indigenous based solutions to peace and security in Cross River State and Nigeria. CRPPS is chaired by an accomplished security expert, a retired Commissioner of Police, lawyer, sociologist and development economist, Compol(Barr) Lawrence E. Alobi(Rtd) MON. The alternate chair is a skilled professional in conflict prevention, management, resolution and peace building, Prof. Oshita O. Oshita, FSPSP, the Director General, Institute for Peace and Conflicts Resolution. The organization also has other members with proven integrity and expertise.
