Carpet Recycling Solutions is part of UBH Group who have been finding waste solutions in the industry for over 20 years. Carpet has long been a waste issue in the UK, with no real long term solutions for all mixed carpet waste. Having partnered with Innovate Recycling we are now in a position to recycle 80% of all post consumer carpet. With 100% landfill avoidance. At our sites across the country we can accept all types of mixed carpet. Pre and post consumer. Through our process and scanning we can identify and separate the carpets in to their different types. Mainly being PP, PET, Nylon, wool, underlay and vinyl. Once separated we can then process them further and get them to end markets to be recycled back into plastic pellets or fibres to be reused to manufacture. So a real closed loop solution and the only one available in the UK especially now that Equine use for shredded carpet has been fully banned by the Environment Agency.
