In 1988, Dr. Bill Baird, PhD, HCLD, was running his IVF laboratories and found himself continuously disappointed with the quality of donor sperm samples he received from other sperm banks. So, Dr. Baird made it his mission to establish a donor sperm bank that delivers, “a great sperm sample that will give our clients the best chance of getting pregnant, having a baby, and creating a family.” We know what it takes. Our dedication to quality: While the quality of the donor sperm vials we provide is of the utmost importance, we are equally passionate about how we treat people, and family is at the center of everything that we do. Our commitment to family, both yours and ours: Cryobio is a privately owned, family-run business with Dr. Baird’s daughters, Robin, the legal and policy director, and Carly (Deal), the experience integration director, at the helm. That’s right, two women are steering this ship. Two women who grew up watching their dad devote so much of himself to helping others start families of their own. It was a natural progression that they would end up doing the same one day. Cryobio believes that this unique quality provides continuity in leadership that allows our donors, our clients and their children, and the adult donor -conceived people these children become to have confidence that their records will stay safe and be available now and in the future. It also ensures that Cryobio will be providing donor sperm services and directed donor processing for many years to come.
