The CSCT is a community of healthcare actors who have decided to team up against the challenges of the digitalization of healthcare.
The aims of the association are to support healthcare professionals and stakeholders in the use of terminologies, classifications and reference standards in the healthcare field, to act as a centre of expertise in terminology, classifications and reference standards, and to collect the terminology and standards needs of healthcare professionals and stakeholders in order to achieve the necessary synergies.
The association aims to achieve these objectives by :
- Supporting the development of expertise in matters relating to terminologies, classifications and standards that are applied or are likely to be applied to healthcare in Belgium: organizing training courses, making teaching materials available, etc.
- The provision of its expertise to support the implementation or creation of content relating to terminologies, classifications and standards applied or likely to be applied to health in Belgium.
- The production of shared content includes, for example, the creation of subsets of clinical concepts for use in healthcare applications, the development of logical models for capturing information, etc.
- Collaborating with the players concerned, in particular to ensure that the official bodies responsible for these matters receive feedback on the problems encountered in the field and to work towards resolving them.
