The Council of State Governments Midwest (CSG Midwest) provides a forum for state government officials to share resources, strategies, and ideas with counterparts from across the nation’s heartland. The Midwestern Legislative Conference (MLC) is among the groups of state government officials supported by CSG Midwest. Through the MLC, CSG Midwest serves legislators and legislative staff in 11 states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) and four Canadian provinces (Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan). The MLC provides a forum for the regional exchange of information, innovation, and ideas, as well as the pursuit of collaborative efforts among member states and provinces.
Along with three other regional offices and a national office in Lexington, Kentucky, CSG Midwest is part of the nation’s oldest and largest state government service organization. CSG Midwest’s programs provide welcoming, nonpartisan educational and networking opportunities to explore, policy trends, grow leadership skills, share ideas, and more.
