CSG (Usher's) is a specialist arboricultural contractor based in North London, providing commercial and domestic tree work throughout London and the South East, including Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and the Home Counties. Managing Director Rod Usher has been involved in the tree business since 1983. CSG (Usher's) derives directly from Usher’s Tree Work, which was a leading contractor in the London area. The company is part of the City Suburban Group, one of the largest Arboricultural Contractors in the south east. The company has historic links to the rail industry through Network Rail, Murphy Rail and Amec. At present, we are implementing a new initiative to put ourselves back into trackside vegetation management work, and we passed the RISQS rail industry audit in August 2015. Since 2011, CSG (Usher’s) has worked with Fountains and the Canal & River Trust (formerly British Waterways). We have now established ourselves as a leading contractor managing trees and vegetation along the canal network. The company works for local authorities such as Tower Hamlets, Haringey, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham, Southwark, and Hackney. We are continually looking for further opportunities in this sector. Our client base also includes leading housing associations Peabody, Genesis, Tower Hamlets Community Housing and Circle Anglia.
