CSIR is one of the largest and most diversified publicly funded scientific and industrial research organisations in the world. Established in 1942, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is an autonomous Society whose President is the Prime Minister of India. An ensemble of 38 state-of-the-art National Laboratories, 6 Units, 3 Innovation Complexes and 38 centres, CSIR has played a pivotal role in partnering and strengthening Indian industry.
