PREDATORY THINKING IS OUR STRATEGIC APPROACH THAT STARTS AND FINISHES WITH THE BUSINESS PROBLEM. In business, we are all predator or prey. Standing still is not an option. Falling prey to the competition is a constant threat. Predatory Thinking only works if our clients achieve business success – when they become the predator, not the prey. Otherwise it’s just plain ‘thinking’. Successful Predatory Thinkers understand that winning market share means others have to lose share. They write market rules on their terms, rather following someone else’s. They spot opportunities to steal business, wherever they are. They change behaviour through reframing the story. They seek unfair advantage to outmanoeuvre the competition. It doesn’t mean a brand’s values and personality become aggressive - just that the thinking behind them is smarter. Two explorers were walking through the jungle, when they heard a tiger roar. They heard it breaking through the jungle, charging towards them. One of them sat down and began putting on a pair of running shoes. The other one said, ‘You’re crazy if you think you can outrun a tiger.’ The first one said, ‘I don’t have to out-run the tiger, I just have to out-run you.’ That’s Predatory Thinking.
