WorkAbility IV (WAIV) is a career development and job placement assistance program at California State University Long Beach (CSULB). WorkAbility IV was established as a collaboration between the California Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) and two departments at CSULB: The Career Development Center (CDC) and Bob Murphy Access Center (BMAC) (formerly Disabled Student Services). This program focuses on facilitating the connection between qualified students and recent graduates with disabilities and employers. WAIV not only provides participants with career preparation and placement services, but also acts as a resource for employers who are seeking to hire qualified and ready-to-work candidates from a variety of majors. WorkAbility IV has been proudly serving CSULB students and alumni for over 25 years and since 2015, has been the #1 WAIV program in the state of California.
