Connecting the Dots (CTD)

‘Connecting The Dots’ (CTD) was established in 2013 by professionals from diverse backgrounds with a common passion to enrich the teaching of Science & Mathematics in our schools. CTD was established with one mission: to improve the quality of education in our schools. CTD was born out of a deep faith that teaching disciplines like Science and Mathematics should be made more practical, hands-on and fun. Boundaries around various disciplines have to be softened so that children can get an integrated and seamless understanding of concepts. The “rote-learning” practice in most schools and the extremely “exam” oriented approach of our education system merely prepares children to pass exams – and not to develop a deep understanding or appreciation of any subject. Science and Mathematics, even in the better schools in India, tend to remain abstract and confined to textbooks. CTD’s innovative solution to these problems is Cloud-Tutors – live, online classes delivered directly into classrooms by IITians who have committed themselves to K-12 education. We are also committed to ensuring that our content can reach students in remote locations, across language and income barriers. Our two principles are: a) provide high quality education in Science and Mathematics combining traditional lectures with demonstrations, real life applications, natural phenomena and recent developments in Science and Technology b) offer easy access to high quality education by breaking barriers imposed by language, location and income levels As of January 2019 about 10,000 students in grades 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 in Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu are benefitting from our classes everyday.
