The Christ the King Engineering College, started in the year 2011 is situated in a picturesque environment in the downhills of Ooty at Karamadai, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu. The College is run by DMI Foundations Trust. The objective of the College is to foster Technical Education, Training and Research in various branches of Engineering and Technology while, the emphasis is to inculcate among the youth, a sense of discipline, and to develop as responsible Human with Ethical values. It has been achieving Academic Excellence for the past
6 years and has always been in the top 10 position among all the Engineering college affiliated to Anna University Coimbatore.
Industry linked laboratories focusing on Big Data Analysis, Building Management Systems, Embedded Systems, Factory Automation, Front end Technology, Information Security, Internet of Things, iOS Mobility, CCNA, Product Life Cycle Management and Telecom have been established to provide industry oriented training and skill building to the students in the focus areas as guided by the Advisory Committees consisting of the industry experts in the respective disciplines.
The Christ the King Engineering College has been undertaking a lot of activities as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to provide services to the rural areas in and around the Institution, in collaboration with the DMI Foundations and Archdiocese of Coimbatore. It has also been trying to sensitize the student community on their social obligations and the need to exploit Engineering and Technology for rural Empowerment and Development.
