About City University It was in Mid-autumn 2002 that City University started with fifteen students, two departments, meager resources, and a group of dedicated and dynamic teachers. 16 years since 2002, we have now Eight thousand brilliant students, six computer laboratories, two mechanical workshop and laboratories, one digital laboratory, physics and chemistry laboratories, an extensive textile laboratory, ten booming departments (with two other departments in the process of being organized), well-trained teachers, a spirited team of support staff, and a dedicated management group. What started as an experimental project has now been transformed into a prestigious educational institute with a wide range of well educated, both local and global. Vision Vision of City University is to create a culture of excellence in higher education & research and to accelerate national development by establishment of an institution of higher learning that is responsive to society’s needs for the 21st century and beyond. Accreditation Government & UGC Approved and Recognized Leader in Higher Education: City University and its campus, the education programs and curricula, and the governing policies—all are approved by the University Grants Commission. The high quality of education, democratic governance of the University, its strict adherence to laws, policies and rules, impartial selection of students, faculty and staff and non-interference in its academic and administrative affairs from any one or from any quarter—all of these have, over the years, established City University as a proven leader and role-model in the area of higher education.
