Cubic3 supplied services and equipment to Rail, Defence, and the Construction sector in addition to producing bespoke Nurock Volumetric Concrete Mixers (VCM).
The company also did work ranging from feasibility studies for London Underground, coloured walls for French museums, refurbishment of Army construction equipment to rail-mounted volumetric mixers.
In 2018 the Government (without any debate in Parliament), slashed the weight VCMs could operate at, reducing the payload from typically 42ton to 32 ton on new equipment and 38.4 ton for a limited time for those with effective grandfather rights (VSO).
The new restrictions imposed hit the bespoke VCM mixer market hard, Cubic3 product was proudly well engineered and made for long life span, this coupled with the total market in VCM trucks sold dropping by 80% in 2019 forced Cubic3 to end manufacturing of their volumetric mixers.
In 2015, Cubic3 became a distributor for concrete pumps made by KCP Heavy Industries Co Ltd (based in South Korea) the company had no presence in the UK/EU at this time. Cubic3 worked with KCP to adapt their concrete pumps for European norms and vehicles, make initial sales and to achieve success launching in the UK/EU.
