Cubica is a research and development organisation specialising in machine learning, data fusion and autonomy. Our work is at the forefront of defence and security technology. Our portfolio of work covers a wide range of areas from state of the art adversarial machine learning research, high TRL operational classification technology, to Level 5 multi-domain autonomous systems. We are intentionally structured to minimise time-to-output by employing a small but highly selective team of Mathematicians, Engineers and Computer Scientists. Many of our team have PhDs from Universities such as Oxford, Imperial, UCL, and Southampton. We build algorithms, software and systems for desktop, mobile, server and embedded applications. We have a combination of deeply academic backgrounds with years of hands-on industrial experience from Telecoms, Finance, and Defence. We act as a bridge between the latest scientific developments in data processing and real-world application, allowing us to effectively and efficiently translate the latest advances into operational value. Since being founded in 2013, Cubica and its employees have already developed world-first technologies and have begun receiving awards and accolades for their research and data science capabilities. We are recognised by the UK Government as leading innovators in our area. Cubica was acquired by Chemring on behalf of Roke in 2021.
