CuDECO owns and operates the Rocklands Group Copper Project, which is a unique Copper, Cobalt, Gold and Magnetite deposit located near the town of Cloncurry in the Australian state of Queensland. The Project includes a central supergene-enriched high-grade deposit and contains a unique coarse native copper, chalcocite and primary sulphide zones of copper.
This Project also includes the development of the Rocklands Process Plant which is among the most sophisticated in the world, and is capable of treating all ore types identified at Rocklands including concurrently producing five co-products (copper, cobalt, gold, pyrite and magnetite). This is achieved by the Plant incorporating both 3-stage Primary and Tertiary Crushing and High-pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR) circuits specifically designed to handle coarse native copper ore, the world’s largest native copper gravity circuit (to remove native copper larger than 0.2mm), as well as standard flotation circuits and magnetic separator.
Access to markets is via a logistics chain that incorporates a Multi-User Load Facility in Cloncurry and a storage/loading facility at the Port of Townsville, both of which are currently under development.
