Cultivate

Cultivate is a program within the Center for the Prevention of Abuse & Neglect (CPAN) in the College of Education at the University of Oregon. Cultivate partners with ESDs, Districts, Schools and Communities to deliver research and evidence-based Professional Development that supports developing High Quality Environments for Children & Adults to learn and work. Our Professional Development is rooted in MicroPD video modules. MicroPDs are short (8-15 minutes long) animated videos that teach research and evidence-based strategies specific to a topic or skill our partners have identified as important. MicroPDs to cut down on the time and complexity usually involved when adopting and training staff on evidence and research-based practices. Each module is accompanied by preset agendas, slides and quick guides. Cultivate works with a growing network of content experts including research faculty within the University of Oregon's College of Education as well as educators actively working in the field, to regularly develop new content based on the needs of today's educators.
