Cultured Minds explores the interrelationship between mental health and culture by increasing beneficiaries’ cross-cultural sensitivity on how mental health is perceived in various countries/regions across the world.
By publishing social media posts, website articles, interview videos, as well as hosting livestreams, discussion forums and workshops, we endeavour to:
1) Encourage beneficiaries to share how mental health is perceived in their respective countries/regions and how the situation could be improved
2) Share culture-specific stigma (e.g. linguistic, social or philosophical) associated with mental health to enhance cultural literacy amongst beneficiaries
3) Empower beneficiaries from various cultural backgrounds by introducing culture-specific mental health resources and promoting ways to destigmatise mental health
