The CUNY Public Interest Technology (PIT) Lab is a collaborative hub dedicated to ensuring technology serves the civic sector and supports overall community well-being. We equip students, faculty, civic partners, and community members with the skills to design inclusive and trustworthy approaches to technology—fostering collaboration built on the understanding that tech is never value-neutral. By building career pathways into the civic and nonprofit sector and creating accessible opportunities for experiential learning, we’re shaping the next generation of public interest technologists.
