About CUNY SPH EOGHS Department
The Department of Environmental, Occupational, and Geospatial Health Sciences (EOGHS) aims to identify, explain, and mitigate the impact of natural, social, built, food, and occupational environments on the health and wellbeing of populations. The department endeavors to facilitate the development of equitable interventions that promote population health. Key to the work of our faculty and students is the translation of theory into effective action, both locally in New York, and globally. A fundamental part of our identity is the education and training of the next generation of scientists and public health practitioners imbued with the same ideals, as well as the knowledge and skills to implement them. The EOGHS department offers an MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, MPH in Public Health Nutrition, MS in Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, PhD in Environmental and Planetary Health Sciences, and Nutrition and Dietetic Internship.
