In the summer of 1995 East Londoner Mark Abery had an idea. Something special was about to happen. A juxtaposition of the world’s favourite pastimes – a football tournament with a live music stage. This was Rock ‘n’ Goal. The pioneering Music Industry Soccer Six was born. It was to be defined by the 90’s Britpop era, kick-start a worldwide celebrity sports genre and be integral to music and popular culture for the next 30 years
