Every week, we handpick a selection of outstanding short films, inviting filmmakers to share their unique stories and visions with our global audience. Inspired by the ancient human tradition of storytelling, where our ancestors gathered around fires deep within caves to share tales that educated, inspired, and helped us understand our place in the world, we've created Curated Shorts as a modern equivalent. Our platform acts as a virtual gathering place where people from all walks of life can come together to share and engage in visual stories that reflect our diverse human experience. Curated Shorts is a haven for emerging filmmakers seeking a platform to express their creative voices, and for experienced filmmakers eager to reach new audiences and gain insightful feedback on their work. We premiere, review, and analyze a wide array of short films, hosting Q&A sessions and in-depth interviews with filmmakers to delve into their creative processes and artistic inspirations. Our mission is to foster a nurturing, meaningful community, bound by a shared love for filmmaking and a mutual respect for our members. Together, we're committed to expanding the independent and alternative filmmaking landscape, celebrating the power of visual storytelling in all its forms. Curated Shorts was conceived in the heart of the UK lockdown in January 2021, a brainchild of Iranian London-based film analyst, Roozbeh Misaghi. After analyzing thousands of short films, WE discerned the need for a unique space that transcends the usual social trends and festival norms. A community embracing storytelling in its rawest and most authentic form.
