Curbside Compost is working to divert food scraps from landfills. Organic waste represents 25% of the waste stream. We service homes, offices, restaurants, schools, markets, and anywhere there is organic waste across New York and Connecticut to ensure that this material is disposed of with the environment and people in mind. We've designed a process that allows clients to easily recycle their food into compost, with us as the middle man. The finished compost is then delivered back to local gardens and green spaces to create healthier local soil.
We diverted and composted over 21,000 lbs of organic waste in our first year, back in 2016. We now continue to haul over 2,000 lbs per week of organics from buckets and carts to compost generators. With the help of our clients and community, we will continue to create a world that's a little less wasteful.
