The aim of CURE is to enhance the effectiveness of the Council of Europe, the main European intergovernmental organisation that protects and promotes human rights, the rule of law and democracy.
CURE was launched in January 2022 by fifteen national and international NGOs. CURE is engaging actively in debates on the role and approaches of the Council of Europe, and wants to stimulate attention of public, media, think tanks and the political sector for ways to improve the impact of the Council's work.
