Met ruim 900 containers zamelt Curitas jaarlijks 5.000.000 kg kleding, schoenen en textiel in. Al het ingezamelde textiel wordt in Nederland fijngesorteerd. Zo kunnen we garanderen dat het textiel met oog voor duurzaamheid gesorteerd wordt.
Curitas zet zich graag in om een goed gestructureerde en transparante textielinzameling voor gemeenten te organiseren. Gescheiden ingezameld textiel kan heel goed opnieuw gedragen of gerecycled worden mits het fijnmazig gesorteerd wordt. Daartegenover staat dat textiel dat in het restafval terecht komt niet meer kan worden hergebruikt en tegen hoge kosten verbrand wordt. Met een goed ingerichte inzamelstructuur voorkomt u zoveel mogelijk dat waardevolle grondstoffen vernietigd worden én bespaart u verbrandingskosten.
