currency is a Berlin-based consulting and creative agency focused on cultural intelligence, visual and written communications, art direction, production, and artist collaborations. Founded in 2023 by Fiona Bate and Amy Patton, currency is the culmination of decades of experience in contemporary art, media, cultural communications, and research. Operating within a global cohort of artists, designers, technologists, writers, theorists, and producers, we explore and create new modes of influence. Our approach tunnels into the complex strata of digital trends, youth culture, new social and political mentalities, media landscapes, and contemporary art tendencies. We work closely with our clients to envisage, produce, and activate projects that are distinct and enduring in the minds of those they’re designed to reach.
