Current Affairs Review is an edu-tech initiative, an online platform for preparation of Civil Services Examinations conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and State-Public Service Commissions (State-PSCs). Here in Current Affairs Review, we provide assistance to individual aspirants which is tailor made for every candidate, based on the challenges they are facing. The complete initiative is planned using IT Enabled Services (ITES), to (1) minimise the expenditure required for maintenance of physical infrastructure, the benefit of which we intend to pass on to the consumer/candidates, and (2) to reach even the remote corners of the country, in a changed environment created by Digital India mission. Now, the requirements of Civil Services Examinations across the country are really unique. Say for example the requirement of the Indian Administrative Service Examination conducted by UPSC is completely application based. The examination calls for an aspirant to be aware about the developments in and around (Current Affairs) and try to ascertain the application of theories in relation to these developments. However, the academic system in India is grossly different from this model, where primary focus mostly is on the theoretical dimensions of the syllabus.
