What Curtidos Lajara is today emerges from what it was since the very beginning.
The history of our company dates back to the end of the 40´s, a time when Pedro Hernández Lajara sets up a little company of tanned and finished leather in Elda. With a lot of effort and the help of his sons Francisco Hernández & Juan Hernández this business started to become very recognised and well-known in the footwear industry.
In 1991, Francisco Hernández founds Curtidos Lajara and since then it has been adapting itself to the industry and to the specific needs of each different stage. At present, the business is being run by the three grandchildren of the founder: Carlos, Rosa and Pedro Francisco Hernández.
