Curve

Fruit of 8 years of research and development on curved sensors, CURVE s.a.s. sells high performance, wide field, compact and lightweight cameras, custom for professional applications. Mass-production oriented, CURVE provides high-end cameras with an exquisite optical quality free of distortion over large fields of views. Curve-one is born from the association of Sébastien & Emmanuel HUGOT, to commercialize these compact cameras based on curved sensors. In terms of technologies, this is the dawn of a new era for cameras, camera phones, autonomous cars, drones, military instruments and bio-medical instruments, with the access to wider fields and exquisite homogeneity of the optical properties across the images, and faster systems not possible with classical flat focal planes. Also, fewer components are needed, and the remaining ones are less complex. This increases economical and technical performance for the optical systems optimizations. Soon to be off-the-shelf components for civil applications (cameras, civil drone) these components will blossom in the technical needs for autonomous cars, military drones and advanced bio-medical applications. This work is now funded until 2021 by the European community under the program H2020 ERC-STG ICARUS (678777). It was supported for the last 4 years by the French Research agency (ANR) through the FOCUS LabEx.
