Customized Homecare has been conceived out of my personal experience with friends and colleagues who are grappling with the overwhelming responsibility of caring for loved ones. More often than not, their family members are elderly and/or suffer from a chronic or critical illness. They wish to keep the loved one at home with dignity, security and peace of mind. These colleagues are caught between being caregivers and maintaining a demanding career and family life. The term coined to describe us is “The Sandwich Generation”. The overwhelming tasks of managing a loved one’s care is complicated since we have a resource-strapped health and social services system.
Customized Homecare believes that homecare service must be delivered as if it were being provided by family. We have put in place a team of Registered Nurses, PABs (Préposée Aux Bénéficiaires), and Companions who have a combined experience of over 50 years as caregivers. These caregivers are experienced, trained, and insured to provide "Care designed by you".
