The Construction Workers Health Trust is dedicated solely to the promotion of better health among construction workers.
The Construction Workers Health Trust was founded in 1994 by the Construction Group of trade unions affiliated to the Irish Congress of Trade Unions.
The Trust is dedicated solely to the promotion of better health among construction workers.
It provides:
◦ free on-site health screenings during working hours
◦ raises awareness of health issues including participating in annual health campaigns
◦ promotes healthy lifestyles particularly preventative health care
◦ engages in construction worker health research
◦ engages with the construction unions and the general construction sector on worker health matters
◦ partners with other organisations that share our worker health focus
The Trust is funded by a small weekly levy week paid by workers who are members of the Construction Workers Pension Fund. It receives no funding from any state agency or government department nor does it fund raise.
