Between July 2010 and March 2012 we rode our bamboo bicycles from the Arctic Circle down to the Antarctic Circle; roughly 30,000 kilometers across tundra, mountains, forests, and deserts, through megacities and jungles, during a 20-month period, to raise actionable attention to some of the world’s water and sustainable development issues.
Our efforts then continued, across 2012 to 2015, by reaching out to primary schools worldwide in order to leverage hard earned lessons on leadership, friendship, teamwork, endurance, and adventure to inspire action within the next generation. We were linking primary school students with a local water project in a different part of the world, empowering them to organize and make a positive impact, while having fun cycling.
In 2015, the torch was passed on to the next duo of adventuring Ambassadors, who kicked off their own Cycle for Water; roughly 25,000 kilometers from France to New Zealand, from July 2015 to October 2016.
