CYCLE Houston- CHANGING YOUNG CHILDRENS LIVES THROUGH EDUCATION

CYCLE Houston is a children's literacy nonprofit. At Cycle, our mission is to enhance 2nd Grade literacy levels at Title One schools, schools with students at or below the poverty line, in Greater Houston. Our vision is for all students to reach grade-level reading or higher by the conclusion of their 3rd-grade year, putting them on the path to success and empowering them to reach their full potential in school and life. Research has shown that achieving grade-level literacy by fourth grade is a key determinant of future academic success. At the heart of our mission is the goal of motivating students to improve their academic performance in the classroom. To achieve this, we offer a unique incentive - new biCYCLEs - to students who successfully meet their personalized goals for improving literacy. s
