D'ALE GUSTULUI - din Cetea

"D'ale gustului - din Cetea" is a family run business that is growing with tiny but sure steps. It includes a small processing unit for jams and other canned goods, a stonemill and a food truck specialised in sweet&savory crêpes. We are located in Cetea village, at the foot of Apuseni mountain, in Alba County, Romania. Behind this business are Alin and Tatiana Petric. We have met during our master studies in France, where passion for fine and authentic food brought us. Thanks to Food Idenity master we learnt more about local products, geographical indications and various traditional products across Europe. Since 2013, Alin established with own resources the jam factory, in Cetea, the community from where his grandparents are coming from. The main fruits and vegetables used in the production process are sourced from local producers or from our own production. Among the best jams we have are vine peach jam, strawberry and lavender jam or green tomato with vanilla jam. In 2018, we started the settlement of a stonemill flour processing unit. Right now we are struggling to accomplish the construction of the plant and its authorization. We hope that by the and of 2020 we will succeed to start the production of first batches of stonemill flour. Tatiana after a short carreer in a multinational company, as food technologist, decided to dive in the business area. Thus, following a training for the development of business skills within the project Start-up CENTRU, she succeeded to obtain financing for her business idea - a food truck specialised in the production of sweet&savory crêpes. The last one is aimed to ease the access to the market of our farm products and keep the added value within the family business. The art of making crêpes we developed in Ecole de Maître Crêpier, in Rennes, France and performed also during a Christmas Market in Annecy, France. There, we learnt the techniques, recipes and acquired the skills to deliver you the authentic French crêpes.
