We are local dads with a son or daughter living with a disability in Western Australia.
Our purpose -
To raise the visibility of disability in our communities and ensure the best opportunities and life experiences are available to all people living with a disability and that they live safely and included in their communities.
We do this by -
Sharing our individual family stories to contribute to a greater awareness of real lives impacted
Encouraging our personal and professional networks to work with us to achieve our purpose
Identifying opportunities to facilitate and promote great outcomes with influential groups
Who are D-Dad Members -
D-Dads Full Members - are dads with a son or daughter with a disability
D-Dads Friends - are people who work closely with D-Dads.
Prospective Members are referred by D-Dads members
Membership is conferred by D-Dads Full Members
Operating Principles -
D- Dads is a voluntary common interest group.
Our Convenor is elected annually.
Members contribute their skills in support.
